Working with Marisa was a real pleasure, our clients bought house in Sammamish that Marisa was listing. Even though the house had been on the market for awhile - she represented her sellers well and worked with us very skillfully. Since we were able to facilitate a good relationship between the parities, our buyers were even able to get some furniture as a bonus. If you can answer "yes" to BOTH of these two questions, then wow, I strongly urge you to read this. Back in September of 2014 my family, who had been living in Sammamish since 1999, answered "yes" to both of these questions. Since we knew that in general, Bellevue/Redmond homes tend to price higher than Sammamish homes, our first thought was... "who can we work with to help sell our home at a great price on our Sammamish home". We were also a little worried, our second thought was..."this is Sammamish, everyone with kids loves Sammamish schools. But it's September and most of the potential buyers have already moved here and started their children in school." We decided right away that we didn't want to be a statistic on the ledger of one of the big realtor firms. We needed someone who would help us get our home in shape while we were looking for our new home in the Sammamish/Redmond area. We had seen realtor signs from several companies who focused on the plateau area. Marisa was the first of three realtors that we interviewed. Wow, it wasn't even close...we knew from the information that Marisa gave us and the amount of time that she spent with us during the first interview, that we were going to be in good hands. Marisa mapped out a strategy of WHAT we needed to do to make our home more marketable AND a strategy of WHEN we should put our home on the market. While Marisa spent time with us over the next couple months getting ready to sell our Sammamish home, we found the task of buying in the Bellevue/Redmond area during the late fall of 2014 to be equally challenging. We tried some of the big name "listing services", you know their names. To be fair, the listing services did a great job of helping us "spot" houses that met our specific criteria. But when we went to look at new homes, we found the quality of advice that we received from the "assistant" realtors was really lacking in comparison to what we were receiving from Marisa. One day, my wife was trying to contact Marisa about our current house. Marisa was busy with another client, so her husband Stan contacted my wife. My wife was impressed with the answers Stan was giving about our old home. She knew Stan was a buyer's agent, so she started talking with him about the Bellevue/Redmond market. It became obvious that we needed Stan's help to find a great home. Stan was very patient and a great advisor in helping us find our new home. Once we found the "right home", he was amazing, he worked with the seller's agent to resolve numerous inspection items saving us a lot of out-of-pocket improvements on our new house (over $10K). He also got us a discount on the initial listing price in a very difficult "seller's market" ($8K). Marisa was equally awesome to work with when it came to selling our old home. She devised a great plan to get our home prepped for listing. She also timed the marketing of our home beautifully. Also her negotiating skills with the potential buyers was incredible. Our old home sold in 3 days after listing. It sold BEFORE our open house the first week on the market. We had 6 offers and our house sold way over our initial listing price ($38K). Besides being tough and effective, I must also give a huge 'thank you' to them for their patience and kindness during the process. Their humor and straight forward manners made a very stressful time in our life turn into something fantastic. Thank you both for your great help.

Marisa is friendly but not chatty. She is brief. She is on point. She gives you her full attention despite the fact that her phone is buzzing and beeping constantly. Home prep I spent an entire month project managing the various contractors required to get my home ready for final sale. Marisa was there every step of the way. She has a good network of painters, contractors, whatever you need. She actively participates in your work plan. She will make sure you don’t miss anything. Example: “Hey, make sure to get your furnace inspected.” Honesty & Integrity I cannot say enough about this team. We had a very difficult selling environment. My buyers were first timers and the selling agent literally disappeared the moment he got a “yes.” Marisa and her team keep the sell moving and vigorously monitored all aspects of the process. She will not tolerate games on the buyer agent side. She is your sincere advocate. Responsiveness Marisa sent me daily text messages updating me even when there was no real update. I don’t think I ever went more than 5 minutes without a response to an inquiry throughout the entire process. Local Knowledge Marisa is very well informed with deep knowledge of the market, agents, and has a trusted network of contractors. Negotiation In a word, fierce. She is not just trying to flip your house for a commission. She is there to advocate for you and get you the best possible terms for your home. Process Expertise I appreciate fluid processes. Selling a home has many moving parts. Marisa and Stan have taken the time to automate many of the paper pushing aspects of the home selling process. Marisa understands every detail and is happy to answer any questions you have. Our experience working with Marissa and Stan was nothing short of brilliant. Their character, devotion and performance were above par throughout the entire process and we would use them again and again. A++ all the way for "abellahomes" and all that it brings.

Stan and Marisa did a remarkable job in helping us find the right home at our location of choice at the right price. We were looking to buy an investment property. Stan was able to clearly tell us what we should look for when it came to investment property. He shared many of his personal learnings to help us put things in perspective. We visited a lot of homes and one particular home we visited about 7 or 8 times before finally deciding not to go with it. Stan completely understood our struggles and helped us reason it better every time. We finally decided on a house that was on Short sale. When the Seller’s agent tried to pull a fast one on us, Stan and Marisa together did a little private investigation to confirm that the Seller’s agent was trying to pull a fast one. The real take away from my experience. 1. They are trust worthy. They would not rush you to wrong decisions. Even when you take an emotional decision they are there to reason it out for you. 2. They have plenty of experience in dealing with real estate. They don’t shy away in sharing that experience to help you. 3. They are very patient. Our Short Sale purchase took 6 months to close. Stan stayed on top of it pretty much the whole time. 4. Our relationship started as agent and client. But as things progressed, we started feeling them as our friends.

Stan and Marisa have been very helpful when I tried to sell my house. I was based in China during the selling timeframe. They have been busy to arrange everything including cutting the grass, clean up the house...they really go beyond to what they were supposed to be doing. Without their help, I can't sell the house in a very short of time. I really appreciate for what they have done. I definitely would love to work with them again if I decide to move back and need to buy a house again.

When I think about describing our experience with Marisa & Stan two words come to mind "Absolutely Amazing!". Undoubtedly, we had a great experience working with Stan & Marisa during our home buying process. This is our first home and from the outset Stan/Marisa have been there to help us out with any/all questions that we've had; questions not just pertaining to the home buying but ranging from a wide range of topics from choosing the best paint colors to where to buy the blinds, from customizing wardrobe to landscaping and what not.
